Keyworker and buddy system
A buddy system is in place to allow staff to work together. This allows children to become familiar with more than one member of staff.
Children work together in the following groups
Purple
Red
Yellow
Allocation of groups
On starting nursery, children will be allocated to a specific group. A child may be grouped beside a friend or with an adult with whom the parent is comfortable. When the nursery is close to its capacity, a child may be allocated to a group because the other groups are full.
The groups are not based on age or ability.
